Marcus discovered his passion for interactive 3D environments while studying computer science at QUT in Brisbane. What started as game development in university evolved into something bigger — real-time virtual worlds for serious enterprises. Since 2011, he’s been designing and building solutions that let companies visualize impossible spaces before they exist. His background in graphics programming combined with hands-on experience troubleshooting networked systems across hundreds of deployed projects gives him a unique perspective on what actually works at scale.
Over the past seven years at Vertex Worlds, Marcus has personally trained over 450 professionals in Unreal Engine best practices. He’s led technical direction on more than 30 major projects — everything from architectural visualizations that won industry recognition to large-scale multiplayer environments. He’s not just teaching theory; he’s solving real problems every day. His approach is methodical, grounded in both cutting-edge technique and practical constraints. When he speaks at industry events or mentors emerging 3D developers, people listen because he’s actually done the work.
